Q: My dog is reactive, anxious, or very strong. Will you still take them? A: Absolutely. No dog is ever “too much” for us. We specialize in providing the structure and leadership that big, strong, reactive, or nervous dogs need. If your dog shows significant aggression, we will require them to be muzzled, and we will start with a 2-hour in-home consultation (£30) and a few structured walks before booking them in for a sit, just to ensure they integrate safely and confidently.

Q: Will you work with Bully breeds?

A: Yes, We are more than happy to work with Bullies of all types, however if you dog fits the characteristics of an XL Bully, it is required by law that they wear a basket muzzle, the same applies to any dog with a history of biting. This is to prevent seizure by the police, which could lead to euthanisation.

Q: Can I see how you work with the dogs before I book?

A: Yes! Owners are always welcome to join our group walks completely free of charge. It’s a great way for you to see our balanced pack in action and watch the process first-hand.

Q: What are the drop-off and pick-up times for dog sitting?

A: To keep our routine predictable for the dogs, our hours are structured as follows:

Day Sitting (£40): 9:00 am – 9:00 pm

Overnight Sitting (£45): 9:00 pm – 9:00 am

Full 24-Hour Stay: £85

Dogs can be dropped off and picked up between these hours, after prior booking.

Q: Do I need to provide my own dog food if they stay with you?

A: Yes, please! To prevent upset tummies and keep your dog feeling their best, we ask that you provide enough of their regular food for the duration of their stay.

Q: Are there any medical or insurance requirements?

A: All dogs must be completely up to date with their flea and worming treatments. We also strongly advise that your dog is insured. While Walks and Wags is fully covered by Public Liability Insurance (which covers injury or damage to third parties), owners remain responsible for their own dog's veterinary costs. It is also required that all dogs have collars with identification tags and micro-chips.

Q: Do you travel for dog sitting?

A: We do! We offer At-Home Dog Sitting (£70 for 9:00 am - 10:00 pm), which is ideal for elderly, unwell, or mobility-restricted dogs who feel safest in their own environment. Because this requires travel, early booking is highly advised.

Q: What is the best way to get in touch or book?

A: Texting is our preferred and fastest method of communication! You can text us at 07704 677238(Ironville Branch) or 07342 310427(Langley Mill Branch). You can also reach out via email at walksandwagsnotts@gmail.com or send us a message on Instagram (@walks_and_wags_notts).
